OnePlus Nord N200 5G is a capable budget phone that comes with 5G connectivity. It also features a 6.49-inch screen,90Hz display, Qualcomm snapdragon 480, a 5000mAh battery and is based on Android 11. It succeeds OnePlus Nord N100 that also came out in 2021.

PREMIUM DESIGN

OnePlus Nord N200 is a great 5G budget phone but would not pass as one thanks to its premium design amongst other features. Its back feels like glass and has a frosted finish that is seen on pricier phones such as the OnePlus 9 Pro. For its price, the front display bezel is pretty lean whereas the punch-hole is not too distracting.

OnePlus Nord N200 5G lacks an in-screen fingerprint but compensates for this with the extra-large lock button on the right side which includes fingerprint scanning. It is also accurate and fast while having good placement on where your thumb would naturally rest. The remaining design is basic: there are thin volume buttons on the left, a SIM slot above it and a microphone on top. The bottom hosts a USB-C slot in the middle, a speaker to the right and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the left.

The 16Mp selfie camera is fair enough as you shoot in well-lit spaces. It is an improvement from its predecessor which has an 8Mp lens and is capable of decent shots in good light. There is the natural depth of field and colour while accuracy is impressive. The foreground clarity will be admirable and while the main shooter records stabilized video with stereo audio, the selfie camera only captures un-stabilized video with stereo audio.

PERFORMANCE

Multitasking on this device will be blissful thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor that comes with it. Additionally, it combines well with the 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage in order to give you nothing short of ease.
